FWSR Group is putting the finishing touches on the expansion of our custom-built Level 4 Fire Extinguisher Servicing and Recycling Centre at our Shepparton branch.

Now fully operational, the upgraded facility has effectively doubled our capacity to deliver five-yearly (Level 4) servicing, cylinder testing and environmentally responsible recycling, supporting clients across Victoria with faster turnaround times and greater efficiency.

Under Australian Standards AS1851 and AS2444, fire extinguishers must undergo routine servicing at six-monthly, annual and five-yearly intervals. The five-yearly overhaul determines whether an extinguisher can be refilled, rebuilt, responsibly recycled or must be removed from service.

Our in-house program focuses on refill, rebuild and reuse wherever possible - reducing landfill waste while maintaining strict compliance. This approach not only supports sustainable practices but can also deliver cost savings of over 60% compared to full replacement.
